Elmwood Rezone

An ordinance to rezone property on East 5th Street is an item that will be on the Sheridan City Council’s agenda at their next business meeting. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has more.

A rezone request of 31.8 acres of unplatted property located on the 900 block of East 5th Street in Sheridan will come before the City Council in the form of an ordinance at their meeting Monday, September 15. City Planner Kelly Schroeder says the applicant is requesting a rezone from R-1 Residence District to B-1 Business District to allow for multi-family residential use and potential future commercial use on the property.

The Planning Commission, at their meeting this past Monday night, voted unanimously to recommend approval of the ordinance to the City Council with the condition that the applicant revise and resubmit the legal description and exhibit with the stamp of a licensed surveyor prior to final approval.
