Winter Club at the YMCA a good place for break and Itty Bitty B-ball registration opens
The Sheridan County YMCA is holding the Winter Club for the Christmas season school break.
The Winter Club at the YMCA will offer kids the opportunity to learn, play and create during the Christmas break. Registration opened Dec. 1, and will continue until the club is full. Parents can register their child for a one day commitment or for the entire duration of the club. Cost for the club is $20 a day and scholarships are available. Winter Club dates are Dec. 21 – 23, and Dec. 28 – 31. The Club can take up to 20 kids per day. Attendees will need to bring a lunch.
During an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, YMCA Executive Director Liz Cassiday told listeners what kind of activities the club will engage in during the winter break.
Registration for Itty Bitty Basketball opened Nov. 30. Pre-kindergarten aged children 4 to 5 years old will learn the basic fundamentals of basketball as they practice shooting, passing and dribbling. Equipment is sized for the children and Cassiday told listeners Itty Bitty Basketball is one of her favorite programs.
To register for these and other programs, visit the Sheridan County YMCA at 417 North Jefferson St. or visit their website here.
