Hub on Smith Executive Director Provides Update to City Council
The Hub on Smith is one of the nonprofit agencies that receives funding from the City of Sheridan General Purpose Excise Tax. Hub on Smith Executive Director Dustin Stephens updated the City Council Monday night on the nonprofit’s activity in 2025. Stephens said the Hub on Smith is a special place.
Stephens talked about the importance of their Home Delivered Meals program.
Stephens informed the Council that Goose Creek Transit provided more than 63,000 rides in 2025. He said the service plays a vital role in helping older adults and other community members maintain independence and stay connected to medical care, essential services, jobs, groceries, church, and the broader community as a whole.

The Hub is not only VITAL to the Senior community but to the families who benefit in a myriad of ways knowing that there is not only help but hope for the many,many issues that need to be addressed for the well-being of not only a parent,grandparent or amember of the wider community.Whole families are impacted.We NONE of us need to be letting the HUb or all it entails for all of this community.
