Gatchell Museum Awarded Culture Grows Grant

The Jim Gatchell Museum in Buffalo has been awarded a 2026 Culture Grows Grant from Wyoming Humanities.

According to a release from Wyoming Humanities, the Culture Grows Grant is a general operating support grant designed to support the cultural network of Wyoming.

Fifteen organizations across the state, including the Gatchell Museum and the Bighorn Journalism Foundation in Sheridan, received grants this year.

The release explained that “awardees of the Culture Grows Grant join a Cohort that will move throughout the year in concert with one another, sharing each other’s work and finding inspiration and collaboration along the way, all facilitated by Wyoming Humanities.”

“The Cohort includes online quarterly meetings, dedicated time to celebrate and promote each organization, a robust humanities program and events calendar, and numerous other opportunities for connection and growth among the Cohort.”
