SCLT Explore History: Off the Hook – Early Telephone Systems in Wyoming

On Feb 11, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the Hub on Smith, the SCLT program will feature Mike Kuzara who will talk about his experiences as the ‘telephone man’ in Sheridan County. Telephones transformed communication and lives in remote places like Wyoming.
Call back to the days of rotary dials and party lines with local historian Mike Kuzara as he shares stories from his 40-plus years installing telephones systems across the region. Mike will also share experiences working alone in remote locations and all kinds of weather and terrain.
The program will be repeated on Feb. 18 at the 10:30 at the Tongue River Valley Community Center (TRVCC) in Dayton.
SCLT Explore History programs are free to attend and open to all.
