The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the 2026 Leadership Sheridan County class during its Chamber Lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the Historic Sheridan Inn.

Participants have completed the 10-month program, which develops local leadership and community connections through learning modules and tours of local industry and government services.

The Chamber is now accepting applications for the 2027 Leadership Sheridan County class through Oct. 31.

Anyone over the age of 18 can participate in Leadership Sheridan County. Area businesses, public and private agencies, civic groups and other organizations are encouraged to sponsor individuals with leadership potential for participation in the program. Participants should have a desire to learn about both the history and future of Sheridan County from economic and cultural perspectives.

Participants must also have the support and commitment of their employer to ensure they can fulfill program requirements. All participants are chosen through an application process managed by the Leadership Steering Committee.

Leadership Sheridan County Steering Committee Chair Alison Meacham appeared on Sheridan Media’s Pulse to discuss the selection process for this popular and beneficial program.
