DSA Adds New Category to Monster Mash Costume Contest

The Downtown Sheridan Association (DSA) will host its third annual Main Street Monster Mash on Saturday Oct. 24, offering families a downtown Halloween celebration with costumes and trick-or-treating.

DSA Executive Director Zoila Perry appeared on Sheridan Media’s Pulse inviting the community to take part in a costume contest with local celebrity judges. The costume contest will begin at 10 a.m. in front of City Hall, with four children’s age categories and a new family costume category.

Downtown trick-or-treating begins at 10:30 a.m. Participating businesses will display small ghosts on their doors or windows to show they are taking part in the Monster Mash. Although some activities will be available, Perry said the goal is to provide safe trick-or-treating for Sheridan’s kids.
