Yellowstone National Park June 2024 Visitor Numbers Show Signs Of Another Packed Year

This year could be the busiest year on record at Yellowstone National Park.

The park reports there were a total of 914,612 recreational visits in June 2024, making it the second busiest June on record.

Those numbers are up 8% from June 2023 (847,864 visits).

Year-to-date numbers through the end of June, show there have been 1,633,739 million visits in 2024.

Those numbers are ahead of the June 2021 year to date numbers (1,587,998) and that year ended up being the busiest year on record.

The numbers for June 2021 numbers were greater than the numbers for June 2024 (938,845 vs. 914,612), but 2024 has higher year-to-date numbers before June, compared to 2021.

Historically, June, July and August tend to be the busiest months at the park.
