Sheridan County Commission Chair Nick Siddle and Commissioner Tom Ringley spoke on the improvements that will be done to Red Grade Road.

Ringley told listeners the plans for the improvements focused on public safety.

Commissioner T. Ringley

Siddle said the road will never become a major thoroughfare, but does serve as a primary access to the Bighorn National Forest and results from a traffic survey have shown that over the last few years, use of the road has increased.

Ringley said although the improvements will hopefully increase safety, it is still a mountain road, and advises caution while driving on it.

Siddle said the road will also continue to be closed during winter months.
