The sixth of 7 blocks on the downtown Sheridan Main Street construction project is now open to motor vehicle traffic and the end of the downtown portion of the project may be in sight.

WYDOT says Main Street between Loucks and Works Street is now open, as well as the Main and Works Street Intersection.

The traffic light at Main and Loucks is now functional again.

The street is still closed between Works and Burkitt Street/Coffeen Avenue, along with the Main/Burkitt/Coffeen intersection.

Coffeen is still closed from the Main Street intersection to Gould Street.

The final concrete pour is scheduled to start sometime next week in the Main/Coffeen/Burkitt Street intersection.

Elsewhere, WYDOT has announced that rehabilitation work on the Main Street bridge over Little Goose Creek is expected to begin on August 12th and be completed by the end of September.

There’s no word yet on if the bridge will be open to one lane traffic while the work is going on, or if the bridge will be completely closed.
