The City of Sheridan is quickly becoming known for its vast number of talented residents in the art world.
Now, as part of its arts program the City of Sheridan has partnered with SAGE Community Arts to display works of art created by not only the city’s residents but employees.
While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Sheridan City Clerk and Strategy Director Cecilia Good, Senior Human Resources Generalist Nicole Romeo and Executive Director of SAGE Community Arts Jill Benson talked about the City’s upcoming Art Gala.
Good said the partnership is a natural continuation of the partnership formed between the City and Sage this last summer, when the two organizations presented the works of local artists on the construction screening used on Main Street.

According to Good, the decision was made to help brighten Sheridan City Hall and present the talent of city employees and residents alike.
The art will be on a rotation, with new submitted pieces being changed out periodically. Benson said the partnership is an opportunity not only for City and SAGE but for budding artists to grow in their abilities and be seen by the community.

Romeo said the art is currently being held in the City vaults, but will be on display for residents and visitors to view during the gala.
