The August Explore History program from Sheridan Community Land Trust and The Hub on Smith will highlight the Big Goose Creek Walking Tour.
The program will also feature a tour of the Mandel Cabin thanks to the Wyoming Colonial Dames.
According to ACLT, Big Goose Creek was an essential natural resource for the valley’s early inhabitants, into the settlement era and right up to today. SCLT is inviting the public to join them and the Hub on Smith for fresh air and a walk as patrons learn about Big Goose Creek Buffalo Jump, Sheridan Brewery, Sheridan Manufacturing Company Flour Mill, Sheridan’s first cabin, the historic rerouting of Big Goose Creek and much more.
This free Explore History program is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8. SLCT is asking that interested parties meet at The Hub on Smith. This program will last approximately 90 minutes.
