Building Inspector Discusses Work on Downtown Building
Buffalo City Building Inspector/Planner Terry Asay, in his recent report to the city council, said he has fielded numerous calls with questions on the work on the Margo’s Pottery Building.
He reported the city and Johnson County will be having a meeting to discuss existing water rights, storage rights, and what the possible future water rights and storage may look like.
There will also be a Capital Improvements Plan review by the City Planning and Zoning Commission at their meeting this week to look at the final draft of the plan.
They have also scheduled a discussion on updating the Master Comprehensive Plan.
Asay also reported that the annual Spring Cleanup will be May 17 through 20.
City residents can pick up a voucher at City Hall beginning Monday, May 15 that will allow them unlimited trips to the landfill, with the city picking up the cost of the trips.
He reported that the Hazardous Waste Day is scheduled for June 3.
