A Look Back in Time: Feb. 13, 1920

Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Feb. 13, 1920.

Vandals entered the Congregational church yesterday between noon and 2 o’clock, broke furniture and lighting fixtures and scattered coal and glass about the building. Entry was made through a rear door which the pastor left unlocked when he left the church to go home for lunch at noon.

Dr. D. W. Young, millionaire chicken financier, stopped in Sheridan yesterday for a few hours to inspect the automatic incubator invented by A. R. Swickard. Earlier, he spent three days at the Bowman White Leghorn farm in Dayton.

Thirty-one men have signed the roster to join a second troop of cavalry to be organized here.
