Funeral services for Traven Wade Taylor 31-year-old, Buffalo man who passed away Sunday in the Big Horn Mountains will be held Saturday, February 5th at 2:00 p.m. at the Summit Wesleyan Church in Buffalo with Pastor William Dunlap officiating. A private family interment will be held later in Willow Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Donations in Traven’s memory may be made to the Traven Taylor Memorial, a fund set up for the education of his children. Traven Wade Taylor was born on January 20, 1991, in Buffalo, Wyoming to Wade and Chasta Taylor. He grew up and went to school in Buffalo and graduated from Buffalo High School with the class of 2009. In high school he participated in football, wrestling, and rodeo. After high school he attended Casper College for one year and to Sheridan College for one year. After college he worked for Myers Construction for a few years and later went to work at the 41-Ranch. He was married on March 16, 2013, in Buffalo to Samantha Marschall and they made their home in Buffalo. He continued living in Buffalo until his death.
Traven was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending time in the mountains, hunting, fishing and trapping. He enjoyed horses, riding, roping, and branding with friends and neighbors. He loved guiding hunters and sharing his love for the sport. His passion was spending time with his family, especially his kids, Trigg and Ivy Jean. He is survived by his wife Samantha Taylor of Buffalo; one son Trigg Taylor and one daughter, Ivy Jean Taylor both of Buffalo; his father Wade Taylor and his wife Johnnie of Buffalo; his mother Chasta Myers and her husband Danny also of Buffalo; two sisters Tiersyn and Tymber Taylor both of Buffalo; his paternal grandparents, Edward Taylor of Buffalo and Barbara Barrett of Texas and his maternal grandparents, Jeanine Peterson of Sheridan and Kirk Atter of Buffalo.
