Trunk or treat in Clearmont

The annual Trunk-or-Treat and Chili Feed at the Clear Creek Recreation District (CCRD) Center drew a large crowd of fantastic creatures, including a giant dog, two spotted cows, and a pure white horse with a golden mane.

Amy Rowe, director of the Clear Creek Recreation District, was happy with this year’s event.

Football players, princesses, pirates and even a small but cute skunk were also in Clearmont to have their buckets filled with candy.

Kelly and Sheridan Little and their four youngsters were at the event.

Several jack-o-lanterns were on display from creative carvers.

Chili and cinnamon rolls were available for a $5 donation, and Rowe felt that there was a larger crowd than usual this year.

The Clearmont Community Library and the Clearmont Historical Center were both open during the evening hours to pass out candy to the trick-or-treaters. Even the adults were in costume. Mike Buss came as Scooby-Doo, and Tammy Buss, Clearmont Branch Librarian, was dressed as a minion.

Sue Albright, Clearmont Historical Group, was also in costume, as was her dog, who was dressed as the great pumpkin.
