Sheridan Community Land Trust reports the Fly Fishing Film Tour sells out the WYO Theater, raising $8,500 for the organization.

SCLT reports that outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds swam fin to fin into Sheridan’s WYO Theater in early February for the Fly Fishing Film Tour. This year, attendees filled the theater’s seats, scooping up a record-setting 479 tickets for a complete sell-out. The event, hosted by Fly Shop of the Bighorns, raised funds for the Sheridan Community Land Trust.

“What a fantastic night! We’re thankful for everyone who joined us,” Dakota Webb of Fly Shop of the Bighorns said. “Importantly, our community came out to support SCLT and all the conservation, recreation, and historic preservation work they do locally.”

According to SCLT, the evening raised over $8,560.

“We’re incredibly thankful for the generosity of our community, everyone at Fly Shop of the Bighorns for choosing to support SCLT, the WYO Theater staff for their help making the event run smoothly, and the businesses that contributed raffle prizes that attendees loved,” SCLT Executive Director Brad Bauer said. SCLT connects people to nature, the outdoors, land, and history. A theater full of people demonstrates how much that mission resonates with Sheridan County.”

Bauer and the Fly Shop of the Bighorns thanked Seth Carrell and Spear-O-Wigwam, Rocky Mountain Discount Sports, Sheridan Bicycle Co., WYLD Adventures, and The Spot Stop for contributing outdoor recreation equipment to the fundraiser’s raffle.

Will there be a showing of the film tour for others who could not attend and if so when and where can we watch it?
