Police Chief Briefs Council on Coronavirus
Coronavirus was a topic of discussion at the Sheridan City Council study session Monday night. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
Sheridan Police Chief Rich Adriaens briefed the Council and Mayor Roger Miller on what’s being done locally to prepare for coronavirus. Chief Adriaens said that all of the pertinent agencies continue to communicate and meet regularly.
Chief Adriaens said that Public Health would be the agency responsible for declaring a state of emergency if an outbreak were to occur locally.
Chief Adriaens echoed what health officials with the CDC and World Health Organization have said as a means to try and prevent the spread of the virus.
Adriaens said that the Wyoming Information Sharing Platform or WISP, is a very informative tool for all of the latest data on the coronavirus. You can access WISP through the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security website here: https://hls.wyo.gov/
