Sheridan College Rodeo: Although it will not be official until after this coming weekend, the Sheridan College men’s rodeo team will represent at this year’s College National Finals Rodeo.

The only question remaining is…how many will represent?

The team finished 3rd at this past weekend’s Casper College event, and as a result, the men tightened their hold on 2nd place in the Central Rocky Mountain Region Team Standings.

The top 2 teams in those standings after this coming weekend, get to represent, as well as the top 3 individuals in each event.

In Saddle Bronc Riding Jake Schlattman and Christopher Nelson placed 2nd and 3rd this past weekend and are both 2nd and 3rd in the region standings.

Lonnie Dunn, Taiten Eaton and Brody Hale are 4th, 5th and 6th in the region and are too far back to catch up to 3rd, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they are out of the running for a CNFR invite.

In other events, Reece Reder was 3rd in the bareback riding this past weekend and is currently 5th in the region.

There is a chance he could move up to 3rd, but he will need some help this weekend.

Tyon Arneson is 5th in the region in tie-down roping, but he did not place this past weekend, and that hurt his chances.

The Sheridan College women placed 4th in their team standings.

Sierra Hilgenkamp won the breakaway roping competition in Casper.

She is 6th in the region and within striking distance of 3rd, meaning she needs another good weekend.
