Big Horn HS Cross Country: It’s 3 down and 1 more year to go for one Big Horn High School Junior Cross Country runner.
Lyla Marney 3-peated as state champ in the 2A Girls race at this past Saturday’s Wyoming High School Cross Country State Meet held in Cheyenne.
Her winning time was 18 minutes 41.3 seconds and had almost 2 minutes of cushion room to spare.
She says with a lead that big on a very challenging course, she had to find her own ways to maintain her own pace.
This is the 3rd year in a row that the state meet was in Cheyenne.
BH Head Coach Cody Ball says he let Marney do her thing and explains what the strategy was for everyone else.
The Big Horn boys Cross Country team finished as 2A State Runners-Up which is their best finish so far in school history.
University of Wyoming Football: This is an off week for the Wyoming Cowboys on the schedule, but just because there’s no game, does not mean players get 1 week off from practice.
Head Coach Jay Sawvel says after the loss against North Dakota State, there were a number of things he wanted to see improve with the team and so far, so good.
One of those areas was turnovers, which the Brown and Gold are plus 3 in over the course of the last 2 games, and they’ve had zero giveaways.
The next game for the Pokes is 1 week from this coming Saturday on November 7th at UNLV.
World Series: Tampa Bay stayed alive by scoring 2 runs in the bottom of the 12th inning, to win Game 4 at home vs. Milwaukee 4-3, but trail in the series 3-games-to-1.
Game 5 at Tampa Bay is scheduled for today, beginning at 6pm.
