Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers enjoyed the comforts of home yesterday as the team swept a double-header vs. Miles City, Montana.

In Game 1, Sheridan scored 7 in the 1st inning and 5 in the 2nd, and would cruise to a 15-3 win.

In the Game 2, the Troopers took a little bit longer to score some runs, but eventually put the mercy rule into effect, by a final score of 10-zip.

Sheridan is home again this coming Saturday and Sunday for a 3-team round robin event against the Casper Oilers and Helena, Montana.


Sheridan Mavericks/Lady Mavericks Lacrosse: The Sheridan Mavericks won both home games this past weekend, against the Jackson JV team and against Helena, Montana.

Video highlights as well as photos of those games are available for viewing.

The Mavs are next scheduled to play this coming Friday and Saturday in Helena.

The Lady Mavericks split games played at Bozeman.

The team has this weekend off from competition and have a home game scheduled for Saturday, May 2nd.


Sheridan/Johnson County HS Track and Field: The weather tried to mess up last week, but teams found a way around it.

The Sheridan boys placed 1st and the girls were 3rd out of 19 teams at Saturday’s meet in Billings.

The Tongue River boys were 3rd and the girls were 4th at a meet in Greybull.

Sheridan is hosting the Gary Benson Invitational tomorrow, beginning at 1pm and the Dan Hansen Invitational on Saturday starting at 10am.


Sheridan/Buffalo HS Soccer: Both Sheridan teams had the weekend off from competition.

The Broncs and Lady Broncs are scheduled to start their second run through the 4A East on Friday vs. Laramie and on Saturday vs. Cheyenne South.

The boys play on the road and the girls at home.

Buffalo split games this past Saturday at Torrington, with the girls getting the win.

The Lady Bison are next scheduled to play this coming Thursday at home vs. Newcastle.

There will be no boys game, because the Dogies do not have a team this year.

Both Buffalo teams are also scheduled to play on Friday at home vs. Cody.

Sheridan HS Softball: Sheridan also had the weekend off from competition.

The Lady Broncs are scheduled to play both Gillette teams for the second time this week.

Games are on Thursday at Thunder Basin and on Friday at home vs. Campbell County.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies won 2 out of 3 games at home vs. the LA Dodgers this past weekend.

The Rocks lost on Friday 7-1 and won on Saturday 4-3.

Colorado won yesterday 9-6.

Kyle Karros hit a solo home run and Mickey Moniak provided a 2-run shot of his own.

The Rockies and Dodgers are playing a 4-game series and game 4 is today, starting at 6:40pm.


Denver Nuggets Basketball/NBA Playoffs: The Denver Nuggets won Game 1 of their first round best of 7 series on Saturday at home vs. Minnesota, 116-105.

Game 2 is scheduled for today at Denver, starting at 8:30pm.


Colorado Avalanche Hockey/NHL Playoffs: The Colorado Avalanche won Game 1 of their first round best of 7 series yesterday at home vs. Los Angeles 2-1.

Game 2 is scheduled for tomorrow at Denver, starting at 8pm.
