The Tongue River Girls Basketball team thought it was so nice, they went out and won the 2A State Title twice.

Sophomore Afton Cummins had a triple-double (17 points, 15 rebounds, 11 assists), junior Chaney Reish had a double-double (21 points, 10 rebounds) and senior McKinlee Scammon put in 13 points, as the Lady Eagles defeated Wyoming Indian 61-47 in the 2A Girls State Championship Game.

After the Lady Chiefs took a 45-43 lead with 5:28 remaining, TR would close out the game on an 18-2 run.

The team statistics that stick out were that Tongue River won the turnover battle (7, while WIHS had 19), scored more points off of those turnovers (23-11), and collected more offensive rebounds (21-8).

After a 1-1 start, Tongue River finishes the 2024-25 with a record of 25-1.
