The Sheridan Lady Hawks are preparing for their biggest road trip of the season.

The team visits Jackson for games on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, and plays at Pinedale Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Sheridan is 12-0 on the season, while Jackson is 12-2 and Pinedale 12-1-1.

All 3 teams are jockeying for the top 3 seeds for the state tournament which takes place in March, and after this weekend, the playoff picture will either clear up or be fuzzy.

Lady Hawks Head Coach Jay Charlebois says even though the team has not played either opponent yet this season, the girls already have some idea as to what they’re up against.

“One big advantage that a lot of the girls have is Team Wyoming consists of mostly girls from Pinedale, Jackson and Sheridan, so we just got back from Boston and a lot of the top girls from each team all play together all the time, so I think knowing their players and playing with them consistently, it’s just another game. There’s nothing to worry about for them.”

Sheridan will try to familiarize themselves with the Pinedale Ice Rink, because that’s where the state tournament will be held on March 7th through the 9th.
