Sheridan County High School State Outdoor Track And Field Results 2024

Sheridan, Tongue River, Big Horn and Arvada-Clearmont are all in Casper competing for the outdoor track and field state championships.
A Track and Field athlete automatically gets all-state honors if he/she finishes in the top 2 of the event they are competing in, except for relay events, which is winning team only!

The Sheridan boys and girls and the Big Horn boys are STATE CHAMPS! (BH is a repeat champ. For the Sheridan girls, it’s only their 2nd title in school history. The other was in 1983. Sheridan boys win their 3rd title in 4 years)
The Big Horn girls finished tied for 4th
Sheridan Day 3 Results:
Aiden O’Leary, Garrett Otto and Cameron Perez finished 2nd, 3rd and 6th in the boys 110 meter hurdles (O’Leary missed 1st by 0.02 seconds). The 3 of them also finished 1st, 2nd and 4th in the 4A Boys 300 meter hurdles (O’Leary’s winning time was 38.00 seconds (Best of the best)). O’Leary also finished 7th in the 4A Boys 400 Meter Dash
Chance Morris finished 1st in the 4A Boys 100 meter dash with a time of 10.93 seconds, winning by 0.01 seconds. He also finished 1st in the 4A Boys 200 meter dash with a New Overall State Record time of 21.11 seconds, winning by 0.05 seconds. The old record was 21.16 set by Gavin Stafford of Big Horn in the preliminaries. (Best of the best)
Landrum Wiley and Shaw Walker finished 4th and 8th in the 4A Boys Pole Vault. Wiley finished 6th in the 4A Boys 1600 meter run
The boys 4 by 400 meter relay team finished 2nd (Riley Green, Chance Morris, Garrett Otto, Cameron Perez)
Mesa Hanft and Ruby Jacobs finished 3rd and 4th in the 4A Girls 100 meter hurdles
Addie Pendergast finished 2nd in the 4A Girls 100 meter dash, 1st in the 4A Girls 300 meter hurdles with a New Overall State Record of 42.69 seconds (old record 43.21 seconds set in 2016) (Best of the best) and 1st in the 4A Girls 400 meter dash with a New Overall State Record of 54.40 seconds (broke her old record of 54.62 seconds set in 2023) (Best of the best)
The girls 4 by 400 meter relay team finished 2nd (Molly Elchlinger, Addie Pendergast, Maddie Lindberg, Averi Sullivan)
Big Horn Day 3 Results:
Caleb Gibson, Isaac Adsit and Daniel Walker finished 3rd, 7th and 8th in the 2A Boys 110 meter hurdles. Gibson and Paul Lobdell finished 4th and 5th in the 2A Boys 300 meter hurdles.
Gavin Stafford, Noah Smith, Drew Heermann, Caleb Gibson and Cruz Hernandez finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th in the 2A Boys 100 meter dash. Stafford’s winning time was 10.58 seconds, but his overall record from the preliminaries still stands. In the 200 meter dash, the order of finish was Stafford, Hernandez, Heermann, Smith and Owen Petter. Stafford’s winning time was 21.30 seconds. His time of 21.16 seconds in the preliminaries is still a 2A record, but no longer an overall state record. (Chance Morris of Sheridan broke it with a time of 21.11 seconds)

The boys 4 by 400 meter relay team finished 2nd (Owen Petty, Noah Smith, Dane Brown, Cruz Hernandez)
Bridger Doke finished 7th in the 2A Boys High Jump and 6th in the 2A Boys Shot Put
Will Taylor finished 8th in the 2A Boys Shot Put
Saydee Zimmer finished 4th in the Girls 100 meter dash and 3rd in the 200 meter dash
Cooper Davies finished 3rd in the 2A Girls 300 meter hurdles
Teagan Butler finished 8th in the 2A Girls 1600 meter run
The girls 4 by 400 meter relay team finished 5th (Cooper Davies, Emme Mullinax, Aubrey Butler, Giuliana DeLuca)
Tongue River Day 3 Results:
Caleb Kilbride finished 1st in the 2A Boys 110 meter hurdles with a time of 16.02 seconds, winning by 0.08 seconds. He also finished 1st in the high jump with a jump of 6 feet 2 inches
Isaiah Cotes finished 2nd in the 2A Boys 1600 meter run
The boys 4 by 400 meter relay team finished 4th (Jack Melger, Carter Maslowski, Kennyon Snell, Derrick Miller)
Laken Walker finished 6th in the 2A Girls 1600 meter run
Jazlyn Ryan finished 3rd in the 2A Girls 100 meter hurdles and 6th in the 300 meter hurdles
Chaney Reish finished 1st in the 2A Girls Triple Jump with a jump of 34 feet 9 inches, winning by 4.25 inches.

In the preliminaries, Gavin Stafford set a new overall state record in the boys 100 meter dash with a time of 10.31 seconds. The old record was 10.50 set in 2008.
In the preliminaries, Gavin Stafford set a new 2A state record in the boys 200 meter dash with a time of 21.16 seconds. The old record was 21.39 set in 2008.

Gavin Stafford finished 1st in the 2A boys long jump with a jump of 23 feet 0 3/4 inches, winning by 2 feet 2 3/4 inches. (Best of the Best!) New 2A State Record! Old record was 22 feet 4 1/2 inches set in 1995.
Cameron Guelde finished 6th in the 2A boys 3200 meter run
