The Sheridan County YMCA has dropped their requirements for wristbands or reservations for open swim times, and have added time to their swim lesson sessions.

Executive Director Liz Cassiday, as a recent guest on our talk show Public Pulse, explained why they have lifted the requirements for open swim.

The “Y” has also made changes to their swim lesson session schedule, and Cassiday talked about that as well.

She said parents can sign their kids up online or stop by the YMCA.

We have provided a link to the YMCA website with this story at sheridanmedia.com.

That is great news, I was a non member from 1983- 1986 and have been a member ever since 1986. I have not been to the Y since March of 2020 but have continued paying my membership. I broke my humerous bone and had covid. I tried taking my grandkids to swim twice and no wrist bands were left! So hopefully I can get back to swim lessons and take my grandkids swimming, I have been with the YMCA 39 years, Gayetta Johnson
