Under the Biden administration, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s new COVID-19 regulations will force medium to large companies to require that unvaccinated workers test negative for COVID-19 at least once a week and wear a mask while in the workplace.

The Associated Press reports that under these new regulations, approximately 17 million people working in nursing homes, hospitals and other facilities that receive money from Medicare and Medicaid will be affected. Those workers will not have an option for testing; they will be required to be vaccinated.

During a leadership meeting with Sheridan Memorial Hospital, Chief Executive Officer Mike McCafferty said the hospital is in the process of reviewing those regulations and how they apply to Sheridan Memorial. McCafferty said they are watching the situation closely and are concerned.

Once the review is concluded and the impact on the hospital’s ability to offer care is evaluated, leadership will begin conversations that will include all staff on how the hospital will move forward.

Tens of millions of other American workers will be affected through these guidelines. Some workers will be able to ask for exemptions on medical or religious grounds.

These requirements will not apply to people who work at home or outdoors.

Biden framed the issue as a simple choice between getting more people vaccinated or prolonging the pandemic, according to the AP.

According to OSHA, companies that fail to comply with the regulations could face penalties of nearly $14,000 per violation.

It looks as if the local hospital will experience a shortage of beds soon, as employees who refuse the Jab get run off. Can’t run beds without staffing, ya know?

I expect that local news will characterize that exodus, as being more news of the Chicom virus overwhelming the local hospital. Wait for it.

My best to the refuseniks. They will be able to look themselves in the mirror every day and maybe later, garner their kids’ respect for that decision to get run off the job rather than to submit.

Kudos to any local hospital employee who gets run off due to being a refusenik. You make a statement. You can look yourself in the mirror every day and be satisfied enough. Your actions can cause your kids to respect you.
