Johnson County Lifts Hiring Freeze for Attorney’s Office
Johnson County’s Commissioners voted to approve a temporary lift of the county’s hiring freeze at the request of County Attorney Tucker Ruby.
Commission Chair Bill Novotny explained the need for the request.
Johnson County has had a hiring freeze in place for a number of years due to reduced revenue and dealing with tighter budgets.
Each department head or elected official is required to officially make a request before the county commission for their approval to hire an employee.
