Grass Fire Put Out Near Twin Creek Ranch

Recent thunderstorm activity produced more lightning than it did rain, and that resulted in a grass fire near Parkman.

According to Ranchester Fire Captain Jeff Barron, at around 7:15pm on Monday, July 12th, Tongue River fire responded to a lightning caused grass fire in the area of the Twin Creek Ranch.

Several Cold fronts had moved through the area with severe lightning and little to no wetting rain. 

Thanks to quick notification from the public, the fire consumed a little less than 2 acres.
