City Council Approves WYO Theater EMC Request

A request by the WYO Theater was an item that was considered by the Sheridan City Council at their regularly scheduled business meeting Monday night. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

The WYO Theater in downtown Sheridan will soon have a new electronic message center that will replace the static sign that has been on the marquee since 1989. Prior to the Council’s vote on the issue, City Community Development Director Wade Sanner provided details on exactly what was being requested.

The resolution that was approved by a 4 to 3 vote by the Council includes three variances to the City’s EMC code.

Councilors Kristen Jennings, Clint Beaver and Jacob Martin voted against the resolution requesting the electronic message center, while Councilors Aaron Linden, Shawn Day, Steve Brantz and Mayor Rich Bridger voted in favor of the resolution.  We’ll have more from the Council meeting in future stories.
