City Officials Approve Raw Water Service Agreement With Mullinax
A raw water service agreement between the City of Sheridan and Mullinax, Inc. was approved by the City Council under the consent agenda of Monday night’s business meeting. City Utilities Director Dan Roberts said the agreement was crafted after Mullinax requested access to the City’s 30-inch raw water transmission line for dust control and dust mitigation at a gravel mining operation located west of the City.
The agreement term is five years, with provisions allowing termination by the City with 60 days’ notice due to operational, regulatory, or capacity constraints. The raw water will be metered and will be billed at 87 cents per 1,000 gallons.
