Council Considers Joint Planning Area Cooperative Agreement
An agreement between Sheridan County and the City of Sheridan was addressed at Monday night’s Sheridan City Council meeting. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has more.
A cooperative agreement for long-range planning for the Sheridan Joint Planning Area Between Sheridan County and the City of Sheridan was approved unanimously by Mayor Rich Bridger and the City Council. City Planner Kelly Schroeder.
Schroeder said the next steps in the process is for the City to put together a Request for Qualifications for the Joint Land Use Plan Update project and that City and County staff will jointly select a consultant for the project and negotiate the project scope and cost. She added that final approval of the selected consultant’s scope and cost will be brought forward for approval by the City Council.
Also from Monday night’s City Council meeting:
Under the consent agenda of the business meeting, the City Council approved the purchase of a new street sweeper. City Fleet and Administrative Coordinator Heather Czaplinski says the new street sweeper will be replacing an old model that will be surplused.
The street sweeper that was approved by Mayor Rich Bridger and the City Council was in the amount of $352,225 from Enviro-Clean Equipment of Gresham, Oregon.
