First Coffee Gathering in Clearmont Well Attended
The first Coffee Gathering at the Clearmont Town Hall, held on Wednesday, Nov. 5, was well attended by around 10 Clearmont residents. Kenny Korp, long-time Clearmont resident, attended the event and said he liked the idea of having coffee at the town hall.
Representative Marilyn Connolly, who represents House District 40, drove down to take part in the gathering.
Mayor Chris Schock gave credit to Shelby Fennema, town clerk, for beginning the coffee gatherings.
Conversation was lively and those attending discussed various and wide-ranging topics with their neighbors.
Town Clerk Fennema said she felt the first coffee went well and looks forward to hosting more in the future.
Everyone is welcome to attend the coffee gatherings every Wednesday morning.
