Wyoming Downs Rezone Approved on Second Reading

An ordinance to rezone property owned by Wyoming Downs at 927 Coffeen Avenue was approved on second reading by the Sheridan City Council at their business meeting Monday night. City Planner Kelly Schroeder said the ordinance rezones the property from B-1 to M-1 to allow for gambling on the premises. Schroeder provides the backstory on why Wyoming Downs is seeking to rezone the property.
The ordinance to rezone the property must be approved one more time by the City Council before it takes effect. Other business from the Council meeting included approval of a resolution adopting the Sheridan Fire-Rescue Long Range Master Plan and final acceptance of public infrastructure for the Teal Springs Subdivision. We’ll have more from the Council meeting in future stories.
