JCSD1 Board Votes to Pass Policy Revisions

During their meeting for March, the Johnson County School Board reviewed and discussed policy revisions for the district.

Passed on second reading was Policy ADD, Unsafe School Choice Option, which adopts the Wyoming Department of Education’s Safe and Drug & Alcohol Free Schools and Communities Policy.

Passed on first reading were Policy GCCAA, Sick Leave Bank,adopting the sick leave bank for all full-time permanent employees; Policy CHCA, Handbooks and Directives, which grants authority to district administrators and principals to issue staff and student handbooks; and Policy CBI, Evaluation of the Superintendent, which specifies that the Board and Superintendent shall periodically develop a set of performance objectives based on the needs of the school system, with the review conducted annually.

These policies will require a second reading to be adopted.
