A Sheridan man arrested last fall for the charge of Felony Attempted Possession of a Controlled Substance, was sentenced to prison Thursday in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan. District Court Judge John Fenn accepted the terms of the plea deal reached with the State, and sentenced 36-year-old Cody Lind to 13 to 24 months in prison. Judge Fenn also ordered Lind to pay $360 in various court costs. The sentence will run concurrent with sentences handed down in Circuit for two DUI charges against Lind.

The Felony Attempted Possession of a Controlled Substance charge stems from an investigation last year in August where Lind ordered and received over 2,400 tablets of various Schedule IV Controlled Substances from a number of different overseas locations.
