A special Wine Fest is coming up next week.

The annual Wine Fest for the Downtown Sheridan Association is celebrating its 20th year in the year 2020. Theme for this year’s event is the Roaring 20s – Roaring with Glitz, Glamour & Giggle Water.

DSA board member Peg Martin said the Wine Fest is the organization’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

Martin said there also will be a silent auction and raffles, including a chance to win a limited edition Springfield Armory 911 pistol.

The event is set for March 6 at the Elks Lodge on Brundage Street, with VIP admission starting at 5 p.m., general admission at 6 p.m. Martin said those who attend are encouraged to wear their best 1920s attire.

Jim Mowry, who’s the DSA president, said silent auction items include baskets from Cottonwood Kitchen & Home, King’s Saddlery, Twisted Hearts and the Sheridan WYO Rodeo. The event will also include over 100 beers, wines and bubblies for tasting, including locally produced spirits, and food will include sushi, fine cheeses and 1920s’-themed foods.

Martin said that includes deviled eggs and pineapple upside down cake, which was very popular in the 1920s.

Tickets are $60 for general admission and can be purchased through DSA’s website of downtownsheridan.org.
