Hospital Benefits from SHS Future Business Leaders Donation

Sheridan Memorial Hospital’s Welch Cancer Center and the pediatric unit are beneficiaries of recent donations from the Sheridan High School Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America.

Members of the chapter raised $2,000 for each of the two hospital departments. Hospital personnel say the donation to the Welch Center has already been put to work in the areas of comfort care, screening and prevention, while funds to the pediatric unit helped buy “toddler” cars, used to ease the children’s anxiety during the travels of their hospital stays.

Funds were also used to revamp the pediatric department with fun and welcoming murals for the small patients’ enjoyment.
