A number of individuals were recently sentenced in Federal Court in Wyoming. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

U.S. District Court Judge Nancy Freudenthal sentenced 28-year-old Peter James Hernandez of Cheyenne for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and methamphetamine. Hernandez received five years in prison followed by seven years of supervised probation. The crime was investigated by the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

U.S. District Court Judge Alan Johnson sentenced 38-year-old Jonathan Queen of Torrington to 87 months’ imprisonment followed by four years of supervised release for possession of a firearm and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. The crime was investigated by the Gillette Police Department, the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office, the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Chief U.S. District Court Judge Scott Skavdahl sentenced 59-year-old Andrew Rogers to four years in prison followed by three years of supervised release for possession of a firearm not registered in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record. Rogers was also ordered to pay a $5,000 fine and $100 special assessment. The crime was investigated by the Cody Police Department, the Park County Sheriff’s Office, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
