The Sheridan Fulmer Library provides many services to the people of Sheridan County. One service, that few know about, is to provide a location for officials to meet and disseminate information to the public during a state of emergency.
This is why the Fulmer will receive a back-up generator. Originally scheduled to be installed at the end of November, the installation has been moved to January. Due to the devastation caused by hurricane Ida, the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency requisitioned many generators in the nation to help with relief efforts, according to Sheridan County Library System Director Cameron Duff.
While appearing on Sheridan Media’ Public pulse, Duff told listeners that the library will have a few pauses in service during key points of the generator’s installation.
