COVID-19 Numbers Continue to Escalate

Governor Gordon said that the State is trending in the wrong direction in terms of the number of new cases and hospitalizations regarding COVID-19.

Gordon said that as of Monday afternoon, there were 36 hospitalizations in Wyoming due to COVID-19 and over 1,200 active cases. Sheridan County reported five hospitalizations Monday and 64 active cases. Over the past 14 days, Wyoming has averaged 98 new laboratory confirmed cases of the virus a day.

Governor Gordon said in an effort to help with the surge in positive cases, he has authorized the Wyoming National Guard to help provide contact tracing assistance for county health departments throughout Wyoming.
