SCSD#3 Board Approves Funding for FFA Trip
SCSD#3 Board of Trustees held the September meeting on Wednesday night. In the administrative reports, technology assistant director Tim Rowe said that the technology at A/C School was working well at the start of the year.

In her superintendent’s report, Jennifer Strong talked about a new idea she had for the 9th hour for the high school students.
She added,
FFA Advisor Amanda Schmidt and FFA member Willow Harriet approached the board about the school contributing to the FFA trip that is being planned to the 99th National FFA Convention and Expo in Indianapolis in October. Two students, Willow Harriet and Delana Michelena, will receive FFA degrees at the convention, and will represent Clearmont and A/C School there.

They entire cost of the trip for students and chaperons will is estimated to be around $9,000, and Schmidt asked the board to contribute $3500, as they had already earned the rest of the funds that they need.

After a lengthy discussion, the board voted to approve the $3500 for the trip.
