Jentel Presents returns Tuesday, July 29, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Inner Circle of the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library. The public is invited to bring a brown bag lunch and enjoy cookies while meeting five visiting artists from across the country.

Hosted by the Jentel Artist Residency, the event gives artists in residence a chance to share their visual work and writing with the Sheridan community.

July’s featured artists:

Benjamin Rojas, Brooklyn, N.Y. – A multidisciplinary artist and first-generation Salvadoran, Rojas helps young people explore creativity through art.

Eli Pillaert, New Orleans, La. – A multidisciplinary artist and queer southern woman, Pillaert draws inspiration from Mardi Gras, swing dance, environmentalism, and community.

Jerry Hirniak, Highland Park, N.J. – An intermedia artist born in England to Ukrainian refugees, Hirniak brings a background in theater and lens-based work from Montreal to his U.S. practice.

Erika Terwillinger, Minneapolis, Minn. – A sculptor who treats her kitchen and garden as creative extensions of her studio, Terwillinger works with instinct and experimentation.

Chris Ledoux, Portsmouth, N.H. – A fiction writer building young adult sci-fi fantasy worlds in The Solverse, a series following Solstice Dayton through alternate realities.

Jentel Presents is free and open to all.

The next installment will take place Tuesday, Aug. 26, at the same location.
