Aaron PalmerDuring their recent meeting, the Sheridan County Commission voted to appoint County Engineer Ken Muller as viewer in the proposed vacation of a portion of 14th street between Yonkee Avenue and Taylor Avenue in the Downer Addition in Sheridan County.
According to the Oath of Viewer, Muller will, after looking into the matter, file a written report with the commission giving his opinion on whether the portion of 14th street is required; considering public and private convenience and the expense of maintaining the portion; whether or not the vacation is practical and whether or not it should be vacated; and the probable expense of vacating the property, including possible damages to property owners or the benefits to them in doing so.
The commission, once they receive the report, will then make a decision on whether or not to approve the proposed vacation of property.
