Science Kids Assistant Director Molly Kinsey and Sheridan Community Land Trust Director of Marketing and Development Chris Vrba have invited the public to unplug and learn about the birds of Sheridan County.

During an appearance on Public Pulse, Kinsey, a retired elementary school teacher, said Science Kids works to get children outside and learning about the world around them. From the minerals in the earth to the birds in sky and everything in between, Science Kids features experts in their field to ignite the imaginations and natural curiosity of children.

In partnership with SCLT, Science Kids will host Unplug with Discovery Sessions: Birds on the Move, featuring Dr. Julie Rieder, a program that will teach everyone who wishes to attend about local birds.

Learn some beginning birding skills, and build confidence to tell warblers from finches from chickadees. Springtime is a great time to watch birds, with a few leaves on the trees, and birds all dressed up in their stunning breeding plumage.

Vrba recommends attendees dress for weather and that Science Kids and Unplug Discovery Sessions are not just for the children, but the young at heart with a curiosity of the world around them.
