A Principal Interview Committee tasked with finding the next principal for Clear Creek Middle School in Buffalo has made their choice.

According to a release from Johnson County School District #1 Superintendent Charles Auzqui, the committee has chosen Ron Glassock to serve as the next Clear Creek Middle School Principal for the 2024-25 school year.

Auzqui said he supports the committee’s decision and will be recommending Glassock for hire at the school board meeting on April 8.

The release explained the interview process.

The Interview Committee consisted of 15 JCSD#1 Educational Team Members who reviewed 18 applications and selected four highly qualified candidates for interviews.

A community forum was held on March 13 at CCMS, which was attended by 35 stakeholders. Feedback was taken from a survey afterward and this information was presented to the Interview Committee, who then conducted interviews.

The Interview Committee dedicated roughly 18 hours as a team to complete the process, and individually most of the committee members put in additional hours to ensure they selected the best fit for the position.

Auzqui closed the release, saying “I am grateful for the time and effort put in by the Interview Committee and am confident in our selection process and the choice of Ron Glassock as the best candidate for the CCMS Educational Team.”
