Big Horn Senior Earns Audition at Juilliard

Big Horn High School Senior Ian Garrison recently earned an audition to The Juilliard School in New York the end of this month. Founded in 1905, Juilliard is a world leader in performing arts education. It offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in dance, drama and music.

Big Horn Principal Al Sparkman said this about the honor.

Garrison talked about the upcoming audition, saying he was going to New York on the 27th of January, adding that he applied in the drama program for the Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree.

He said the first application wasn’t much different from applying to any college, but he said that three days later he received and email saying he had to come to New York for an audition.

When asked how he got interested in drama, Ian said,

He added that even if he was not accepted, it would be a great experience.

And he wanted to thank the people who had helped him get to this point.

Ian’s parents are Estella and Karl Garrison of Big Horn.
