LeLoie Imogene Brewer

LeLoie Imogene Brewer, 101, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Westview Health Care Center in Sheridan, WY, with her children by her side.

LeLoie was born in Sheridan, WY on August 4, 1922, to Dean and Birdie (Allison) Gabriel where she lived until graduating from high school. She then moved to Los Angeles where she worked as a secretary for RKO Studio. On December 24, 1943, she married Lt Orville H. (Buck) Brewer at the Base Chapel, Biggs Field, Texas. After Buck’s return from the war, he was hired by United Airlines. Over the next twenty years they lived in Van Nuys, CA; Chicago, IL; Aurora, CO; Basking Ridge, NJ; and Longmont, CO. During their marriage they had two daughters.  After retirement, they returned to Sheridan where they lived until their deaths.

LeLoie enjoyed traveling, golfing, and bowling, was an avid seamstress, and was a member of the Threaders and Fiber Guild.  She was outgoing, never knew a stranger, and a good friend.

LeLoie will be greatly missed by her daughters Sue Crivello and husband Anthony of San Rafael, CA; Nancy Jones of Nevada, MO, grandchildren Scott Jones; Michael Crivello and wife Jessica; Allison (Crivello) Schulist and husband Jay.  Also, her great-grandchildren Oliver Schulist, Emma Schulist, and Madison Crivello. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Birdie Gabriel; husband O.H. (Buck) Brewer, son-in-law Randall Jones and granddaughter Holly Jones.

A Celebration of Life is at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 12, 2023, at the First Christian Church, 102 S. Connor St., Sheridan, WY, with Pastor Doug Goodwin officiating, with a light reception to follow.

    Such a wonderful gracious lady. I grew up knowing Loie and Buck as they were friends of my parents. I am blessed to have known them.

    She will truly be missed she was such a good person loved bowling with her even on opposite sides she always made me laugh.

    This lady right here was a one of a kind along with the family. They would do anything for anyone. I love them like family. I’m deeply sorry for the loss of this beautiful soul. I know she is watching us smileing

    I did not know Loie personally, but so much enjoyed all the fun and wonderful stories that her daughter, Nancy shared with me through the years! She has given her family some wonderful memories! My sincere condolences to Nancy and her family.

    Loi was a wonderful person. She looked after her aunt Mable Rita Jones who was a neighbor. She enjoyed my kids as babies and youngsters and came with me to family picnic. Shocked when my Dad and her knew common family of ours in Mo. wow small world. I am so sorry for loosing her.
