Linden Maker

Funeral services for Linden Maker, a 66-year-old Buffalo resident who passed away suddenly at his home in Buffalo will be held Wednesday, October 4th at 2:00 p.m. in the Harness Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tom Saur officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place later. Linden Eugene Maker Jr. was born on April 27, 1957, in Guthrie, Oklahoma to Linden and Anna Mary Maker. He grew up and went to school in Guthrie and graduated from Guthrie High School with the class of 1975. After high school, he went to work for the Guthrie Police Department as a street officer. While working at the Police Department he also worked at Safeway where he worked for over twenty years. He was married on January 7, 1984, in Guthrie to Rhonda Martin and they made their home in Meridian, Oklahoma where Linden worked for the Logan County Sheriff’s Office for several years. In 1992 they moved to Buffalo, Wyoming where Linden worked as a dispatcher for the Buffalo Police Department and later as a Detention Officer for the Sheriff’s Office. Ill health forced him to leave the Sheriff’s Office and he did odd jobs for several years before he completely retired. He and Rhonda continued living in Buffalo until his death.
Linden was an accomplished gunsmith, an avid fly fisherman who tied his own flies, was an amateur prospector, and loved searching for rocks. He was also an excellent artist and painted nature scenes with mixed media. He is survived by his wife Rhonda of Buffalo; three sons, Jacob Maker and his wife Brittnie of Gillette, Jeremiah Maker and his wife Amanda of Casper and Joshua Maker of Las Vegas, Nevada; two brothers Ted Maker and his wife Janet of Guthrie, Oklahoma and Tenny Maker and his wife Veronica of Meridian, Oklahoma; three sisters, Sandy Channel and her husband Gary of Mulhall, Oklahoma, Suzy Louthin and her husband Dennis of Chester, Oklahoma and Betsy Ball and her husband Josh of Edmond, Oklahoma; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
