Farmers and ranches have an opportunity to learn soil tips from a well known soil health advocate, author and educator.
The Sheridan County Conservation District will be hosting a Working Lands Workshop Series on August 8th and 9th, 2023
This year’s event will feature Nicole Masters who is the owner of integrity soils and author of the 2019 book, “For the Love of Soil.”
Andrew Cassiday is the District Conservationist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service.
He says the workshop is designed to bring knowledge into the Sheridan area to assist operators find efficiencies benefitting the human, animal, soil and water environments across the landscape.
“The goal is to build a local knowledge base that we can draw on the future to promote these sorts of ideas and build an experienced set so that when we have people interested in these sorts of things, we know enough to be able to help and have kind of a list of people in mind that have done these sorts of things and can help guide others.”
Early bird pricing for registration is available until July 1st.
