Sheridan HS Basketball: March Madness in Wyoming will reach its peak this weekend at the High School Class 4A and 3A State Tournament in Casper.
Both Sheridan teams will take on Green River in the first round.
On the boys side, the Broncs and Wolves did not play each other during the regular season.
Head Coach Jeff Martini explains what GR brings to the table.
Tip time Thursday is scheduled for 1:30pm.
For the girls, Sheridan and Green River played each other back in January in Cheyenne and the result was a 50-34 win for the Lady Wolves.
GR is the second best team in the state in Class 4A in terms of team scoring, averaging a little better than 55 points per game.
They are also tops in 4A in shooting percentage and rebounding.

Isabel Vasco of GR is the leading average scorer in Class 4A at 19.7 points per game.
Nicole Wilson is #2 in Class 4A in rebounding with about 8.5 rebounds per game.
The girls game on Thursday is scheduled to tip off at 10:30am at Casper College.
University of Wyoming Football: The schedule is out for the Wyoming Cowboys for the 2026 season.
The season will kickoff on Saturday, September 5th with the Border War at Colorado State.
This will now be a non-conference game, as the Rams are moving to the PAC-12 conference.
The home opener is set for September 12th against Northern Colorado, and that will be followed by a road trip to Central Michigan.
Mountain West Conference play starts on September 26th at home vs. Hawaii.
The Pokes will travel to conference newcomer North Dakota State on October 3rd and then visit San Jose State the following week.
Northern Illinois and Air Force will provide back to back home games on the 17th and 24th.
Halloween Day is an off week for the Brown and Gold.
In November, the Cowboys will play at UNLV and at UTEP, then conclude with 2 home games vs. New Mexico and a non-conference game with UConn.
Spring practice normally starts soon, although an official schedule for that has not yet been announced.
UW will host its annual NFL Pro-Day tomorrow at the Indoor Practice Facility.
The event is open to the public.
Denver Nuggets Basketball: The Denver Nuggets lost last night at Oklahoma City 129-126.
The Nuggets are next scheduled to play tomorrow at home vs. Houston.
Colorado Rockies Pre-Season Baseball: The Colorado Rockies were clobbered yesterday at the Chicago White Sox 12-3.
The opposition hung up an 11 spot on the scoreboard in the 4th inning.
Roc Riggio hit a solo home run for Colorado, but by then, it was too little, too late.
The Rocks are next scheduled to play today at home vs. Cincinnati.
First pitch is scheduled for 2:10pm.
